CBS High School Donation Campaign
At noon of November 20th, the first floor of the high school department was crowded as Grade 10s were contributing to a donation campaign. The tables were covered with all kinds of stationery, books, clothing, toys and other items.
This donation campaign was proposed by Rachel, and received a positive response from many enthusiastic students and parents. They brought the idle items to the school and transferred them to the staff of Changzhou Environmental Resource Protection Association (CERPA), who will donate these items to the families in Siyang, Jiangsu province.
CERPA has organised a lot of public welfare activities. Their volunteer service work covers areas such as Danjiangkou, Xiangyang, Enshi, Shi Qian, Huaihua, and Dabie mountain.CERPA have helped more than 500 students in poverty.
To our delight, when Grade 10s donated their items, the students of other grades were also motivated and they too made contributions. The amount of donations is not the important lesson, the sense of social responsibility will inspire more people to do their part in the communities we live.
