I. School Profile

Changwai Bilingual School (CBS) is located in the Changzhou National Hi-Tech District, Jiangsu Province. The campus enjoys a prime location, with Global Harbor to the south and a large urban ecological park to the north. With convenient access to the Shanghai–Nanjing Expressway, the Beijing–Shanghai High-Speed Railway, and direct connectivity via Changzhou Metro Line 1, the school offers excellent transportation links for both intercity and intra-city travel. Set within an elegant campus environment and enriched by a vibrant cultural atmosphere, CBS fosters a learning community that is deeply rooted in local culture while embracing a global perspective. Established in 2018, Changwai Bilingual School builds upon the strong educational foundation of Changzhou Foreign Languages School. The school offers a comprehensive K–12 educational structure, including Foundation, Primary School, Middle School, and High School. CBS is fully authorized by the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO) to deliver the Primary Years Programme (PYP), Middle Years Programme (MYP), and Diploma Programme (DP). Notably, it is the first and only IB World School in the Changzhou region to offer the complete IB continuum.

Notable Achievements Over the past five years, six CBS students have received official offers from the University of Cambridge and the University of Oxford. The school has been recognized by Oxford AQA International Qualifications as one of the first ten Gold Medal Schools in China, and has received the Oxford AQA Partner Award. In addition, CBS has earned numerous distinctions, including designation as an IELTS Demonstration Middle School, an Excellent Student Source Base for the International Top Innovative Talent Training Program, an International Science and Technology Literacy Education Center, and a Jiangsu Province Smart Campus, among other honors.

Exceptional Faculty Changwai Bilingual School is proud of its highly qualified and dedicated teaching team, supported by a strong professional learning community. Teachers actively participate in teaching competitions at various levels and have achieved outstanding results. More than half of the faculty hold postgraduate degrees, including four doctoral degree holders.
