It's that time of the year again - Easter's here!Easter is one of the oldest and most meaningful festivals in the West, symbolizing rebirth and hope. In European and American countries, Easter is a major holiday second only to Christmas, and it is also an important day for the whole family to gather and enjoy parent-child time. For Foundation students, Easter is an “egg-citing” and interesting holiday. Today, all Foundation students and parents were invited to participate in Easter activities. Through well-designed activities, students and parents shared happiness, laughter and memorable parent-child time.
Our opening performance with all students and teachers was the classic bunny dance. The Easter Fair fun started! Let's experience some of the activities!
Face-painting
Using rainbow colors we had pictures related to Spring and Easter; Easter eggs, rabbits, flowers, and butterflies, creating extra magic by adding sparkles and glitter.
Bunny running race
A game for parents and students to experience and play together! A parent and child work together to reach the end, encouraging and supporting each other, sharing fun moments and showing love!
Easter Egg Catch
Students and parents cooperate to send the eggs back "home" with their feet within a minute. The game exercises the children's abdominal core strength and eye-foot coordination. Happy parent-child time!
Throw and Catch
Working together in an egg throw and catch game. Everyone enjoyed the game with lots of laughs and great camaraderie!
Egg and Spoon Race
Students needed to use their dexterity and a steady hand to survive the tricky course. They did an excellent job!
Bunny Ears Ring Toss
Colorful rings are tossed around the bunny ears. It helps to develop children’s hand-eye co-ordination skills faster while they have lots of fun. It also helps in developing and sharpening their accuracy, precision and addition skills on that involve their parents or family members as well.
After playing all the activities, students exchanged event tickets for gifts. They happily showed off their prizes. This unforgettable Easter event gave students another idea of western holiday fun. Through a full range of parent-child activities that integrate Chinese and Western elements, children experienced an international perspective with Chinese characteristics.
