The teachers’ and students’ celebrated this occasion on September 10th in significance to reminiscing age-old reverence for learning that existed during the imperial era. Teachers' Day is one important way that educators in the country are celebrated and respected in China.
The K2 class paved their way to create a poster through landscape painting. The teachers’ supported them with the letters by tape to form the letters of the word “Teachers’ Day”. Every student had the opportunity to take ownership by putting their handprints and decorating it independently. The students’ and teachers’ were very proud of this moment.
K1 - In the classroom, we discussed the purpose of this activity and came up with ideas. The students displayed this through drawings and writing of teachers' names to show their appreciation.
In Pre K. The students sang a song of teachers day and used their creativity to decorate a poster to show their appreciation.
What an opportunity for our school children to express a meaningful gesture of gratitude towards their teachers.
