The children of CBS Preschool carried out a series of interesting activities around this year's Earth Day theme, "Cherish the Earth, Live in Harmony with Nature," on April 22, 2022.

Pre-A

Pre-A talked about how to take care of our planet: reduce, reuse, and recycle. We planted beans in paper cups, and we'll see them grow. We also thought about birdies, so we made bird feeders. Sorting garbage is also an important part of protecting our Earth, so we learned about sorting different garbage into different bins.

Pre-B

To commemorate Earth Day, Pre-B focused on the importance of recycling materials to take care of our planet. We talked about where some materials like paper come from, and what are some of the benefits we get from trees. Then, we created our own recycled paper!! With a mix of old paper soaked and blended in water, we made our own recycled paper sheets and decorated them with flowers and other materials. We loved this activity and learned more about protecting the planet.

K1-A

K1A students discussed why we have the Earth Day and how we can protect it. students have different ideas, for example, saving water and electricity, sorting garbage, take care of the whole environment, protect animals and so on. Kids also drew their opinions and made a poster. Then we also planted flowers and made a bird’s feeder.

K1-B

The Earth day K1B met in green and blue colours. Children learnt about waste separation and materials the goods made of: glass, tin, paper and plastic through the song. Reduce, reuse, recycle and repair- 4 principles that should guide us daily: some students took an immediate action and started reusing tissues to dry hands. We love our home- Earth!

K2-A

Students had a chance to take materials that we might throw away and give them a new purpose. Students prepared objects or artwork made of recycled materials. They shared with the class what they have made and explained what materials they used to make these things.

K2-B

Taking into consideration that our Earth is more than just a globe where we live; it is life for all of us, we celebrate Earth Day on April 22nd to remind everyone of our obligations and responsibilities to Mother Earth. On this account, the K2B students learned a new song named "Save the Planet," They used their body language to express their love for the Earth. The students also discussed the various ways they can save the Earth.

Everyone listened to the earth's voice, expressed their love for the earth in various ways, felt the earth's beauty, and contributed to a green future. Happy Earth Day!

Let's start from saving  energy and participate in “One Hour For Our Earth”.  Save electricity, water,  paper and other resources to protect the Earth! Turn off the lights for an hour tonight from 8:00 to 9:00. Please Join us!
